Colour 2025
My interactive augmented reality (AR) installation, "Back to Eden", was exhibited in Color 2025 the CICA Museum (Czong Institute for Contemporary Art), October 1-19, 2025. CICA Museum is a unique contemporary art space in Gimpo, South Korea known for its striking exhibitions and experimental visual culture.
Color is an international exhibition that has been held annually since 2017. It features photography, painting, video and interactive art, sculpture, and installation works that explore colours and colour-related themes. The exhibition highlights artistic experiments with the expressive and symbolic dimensions of color, showing how color can shape emotions, memories, and cultural meanings.
Presented within the context of Color 2025, AR "Back to Eden" entered into dialogue with international interpretations of colour as experience and language. Using AR as both medium and metaphor, Back to Eden reflects on humanity’s enduring longing for an origin — a garden before rupture, before excess, before separation from nature. The vivid palette is deliberately sensorial: saturated greens, iridescent petals, and glowing organic structures evoke abundance while quietly questioning its fragility. Colour here is not decorative; it is structural, emotional, and symbolic — carrying echoes of fertility, loss, and renewal.
